In the past, duties and inspections required for listed companies do not seemed sufficient to increase a good practise and a sustainable development oriented to protect the minority. Several empirical evidences show that the social report diffusion in big firms have changed behaviours and have influenced positively the governance. The Unipol case study shows that the compilation of social report have contributed to introduce new professionals who drive to social accountability in the business and exchange the strategic plan in the sustainability plan, oriented to stakeholders. Finally, the Unipol case demonstrates that the social report can became an important mean to affirm the values that lead the mission and the good governance oriented to a business ethics.
